Account & Billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
Your subscription is managed through the Apple App Store. To cancel:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find ProgressPilot and tap Cancel Subscription
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep premium features until then. The free tier remains available after cancellation.
How do I restore my purchases?
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, your subscription should restore automatically when you sign in. If it doesn’t, go to Settings within the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
What’s included in the free tier?
Manual workout logging, the full exercise catalog (135 exercises), session-level Performance Index scoring, personal record detection, rest timer, Siri Shortcuts, Home Screen widget, 3 saved session templates, and 7 days of session history. AI coaching, full analytics, and premium features require a subscription.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the ProgressPilot charge, and request a refund.
Account & Data
How do I delete my account and data?
You can initiate account deletion directly in the app under Settings > Delete Account.
Deleting your ProgressPilot account removes the account and data we control, including:
- Your Firebase authentication account
- Local app data on the device
Apple subscriptions are billed and managed separately by Apple. Deleting your ProgressPilot account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. If you also want to stop renewal, cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or use the Manage App Store Subscription link, before completing deletion.
Data synced through your personal iCloud account can be removed from your device or iCloud settings. Contacting support is optional if you need additional help or believe some associated data still remains.
How do I export my data?
Premium subscribers can export their training history as a CSV file. Go to Settings in the app and tap Export Data. The CSV includes all sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weights, and PI scores.
How do I make a privacy request?
Contact us at [email protected] to exercise your GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, or objection). We aim to respond within one month. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
AI & Workouts
The AI is not generating my program — what do I do?
AI features require an internet connection and an active premium subscription (or active trial). If the AI is unavailable:
- Check your internet connection
- Verify your subscription is active in iOS Settings > Subscriptions
- The app automatically falls back to deterministic programming when the AI is unreachable — you’ll always have a workout
If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
How do I change my training days or goal?
Go to Settings in the app and tap Edit Profile. You can change your training goal (strength, hypertrophy, general fitness), available training days, equipment access, and session length. Changes take effect with your next weekly program generation.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes. All core features work without internet: set logging, rest timer, Performance Index scoring, personal record detection, and the Home Screen widget. AI features need a connection, but every AI feature has a smart offline fallback so you always have a workout ready.
Apple Health & Permissions
How do I enable or disable HealthKit?
HealthKit access is optional. To manage it:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Go to Privacy & Security > Health
- Find ProgressPilot
- Toggle individual permissions on or off
What health data does the app read and write?
Reads: Body weight measurements and cardio workouts (running, cycling, swimming, walking, hiking, rowing, stair climbing). Cardio data helps your AI coach factor cross-training load into weekly programming.
Writes: Completed strength training workouts with duration and estimated calories burned to Apple Health.
HealthKit data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
What are the system requirements?
ProgressPilot requires iOS 17 or later on iPhone. The app also supports iPad via iCloud sync. An internet connection is needed for AI features, but the app works offline with deterministic fallbacks.
